- Farmer keeps Lamb.
- Lamb grows and is killed.
- Lamb is on plate and cooked ready for consumption.
It seems that people no longer understand that when you eat lamb, you are actually eating a 'lamb'. I cannot understand why their has been so much outrage over this however. Complaints to Channel 4 were mainly to do with the fact that it was shown before 9pm. The outrage is only because parents tend to 'shield' their child from death which is ridiculous. Children at an early age should be taught that things die in order to keep food chains and life cycles going. Yet it appears that this is not the case and that death doesn't happen in real life until after 9 'o' clock. As a nation though, we seem to be kidding ourselves. The sensitised atmosphere has to stop.
Things die. Get over it!
But you haven't heard the oddest part yet:
"A spokesman for the celebrity chef defended Oliver's actions and said the killing method was common in Italy..."
I don't know about what you think but to me, it sounds like the 'spokesman' is claiming that the method of killing a lamb before eating is quite common in Italy. This is utterly ridiculous and Jamie Oliver should not need a spokesman.
Well that's all for now. Keep checking for updates and thanks for reading.
