That's right. Even though I am back to school, I want to be on holiday again. My timetable is just full of lessons that bore me intensely and there is not a single day that I can call 'a good day' in school terms. Our science lessons have doubled and our options have been reduced to 2/3rds of their original size. I am not happy. The new arrivals in the school meant that the que for lunch was the longest it has ever been. All that was left were some horrible tasting chips (fries).
The fact that the company that own the cafeteria didn't think that they might need some new stock astounds me. The only drinks were bottles of water and they were expensive. I was very tempted to just go into town to buy some real food. I might of course be able to do this after christmas if they supply us with town passes. These allow us to go into town at lunch to buy food rather than be a slave to the company that supplies the terrible food. They seem to forget that we are consumers as well and that I don't want to be treated like that. I have limited choice when it comes to food and when those choices are re-heated "burgers" (burger is used in the loosest tense possible), chips made from fake potatoes and some more expensive half-size portions of 'homemade' food I do not want to buy it. Yet because I am considered to be a child, I am not given equal rights and have to eat from a place that I don't want to eat from. They talk about obesity and this is the root cause. They certainly do not treat me with respect and expect me to enjoy eating their food. I am sure that they wouldn't eat it themselves so I am shocked to think that they expect me to eat it.
Since writing this, I have come to realise that I am not treated with respect and the next time that I am treated as a second-class citizen I am going to complain. If they don't take me seriously then I will talk to the company about this. I will also talk about this to the school if they do not take my complaint seriously. On the board outside of the cafeteria, the company shows itself to care about me as the consumer and encourages me to make suggestions yet when you walk inside you wouldn't get a chance to talk to anybody with authority because of the ques which they cannot control without throwing people through the ques like an ultra-speed drive through.
That's all for now and thank you for reading.
